Wow! What a great find!
Wonderful! I suggest a shadowbox/picture frame. cover the entire back with a picture of the kids playing their instruments, similar to the one on the webpage now, and then glue tiny mementos or decorative things (toy-sized instruments, musical notes (Joann'a had some at Christmas, in the form of ornaments) inside the shell. Finish off with some wire-edged ribbon, in a musical theme, wound loosely round the tall part-don't know the terminology, not a stringed instrument person :)
How much does he want for it? I'd like to have it to turn it into a banjo. Looks like it is mostly finished. I'd hate to see it used for some art object, when it has the potential to be a good banjo.
If the pot is good, I have a neck for it. If the neck is good, then a pot is not to far away. The fact that it has frets on it, is a big plus. Even with a warped neck I think it is restorable
The children look very serious in their practice. Deep concentration I am sure. Love the picture though. Surely would love to hear their recital again. Wish it wasn't so hard to come on a Wed. Not sure it would work this year.
